All Gave Some, Some Gave All

All gave some, some gave all. This is a common saying we hear, especially in times of remembering our fallen hero's and the ones serving still today. I am proud to have many family members who have served our country, from both of my great grandfathers who served in World War 2, a great uncle who served in Vietnam, and an uncle who was in the National Guard. I am so thankful for the men and women who serve our country to give us the freedom we have today.
As I think of the saying "All gave some, some gave all", I can't help but compare that to our lives as Christians. As followers pf Christ, we are called to share the Gospel and show those around us Jesus through how we live. Not because we need to live perfectly, none of us can do that, but because of the grace of Jesus. Because of His love for us we can have a relationship with Him. When we accept Him and allow Him to work in our life His love will come into us and pour out into others.
This call on our lives to show others Jesus isn't something that just some of us are called to do, it is what we are ALL called to do if we are truly a child of God. This calling bestowed upon us should be something that increases as we spend more time in the presence of Jesus. The more time we spend with Him, the more we see His fingerprints in our lives and the more we shine Him! It isn't something to hide away! We have Jesus! He is the best thing we could ever have! He is our Comforter, Guide, Dad, Creator, Friend, Light! Why on earth would we want to keep that from the people around us? Pride? Comfort? We're embarrassed? That just doesn't seem like a good reason to keep the only true Hope from the world. And the awesome thing is that there isn't pressure in sharing Him! We aren't the ones who saves the person, we aren't the hero. Jesus is. It is our job to do what He has called us to do, and trust that He has the rest. There are Christians all over the world who give their LIVES for Him...to share Him, to stand for Him. We aren't all called to go into foreign missions, but we are all called to missions, wherever that is.
I will follow my Jesus, my Captain, my King.

"Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name, make known among the nations what He has done!" Psalm 105:1

"Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone is the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:15-16

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

This past weekend the interns went on a journey to the Blue Pool! It was amazing! Here are some of my favorite pictures! (And some fun stuff I did to get pictures :)

Summer 2019

"Even youths grow tired and weary,  and young men  stumble and fall;  but those who hope   in the   Lord  will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles;  they will run and not grow weary,  they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 30-31 This summer I worked at a summer camp called Circle C Ranch. For those of you who don't know about it, it is a summer camp for kids that revolves around sharing the gospel with kids. I was a... you guessed it... wrangler! That means that I worked long days working with the horses and making sure the tiny humans didn't die. Not going to lie, it was hard! We woke up early and went to bed late. The work was hard and fast paced. But it was so worth it! The kids absolutely loved the horses and there were a number of the kids who said that the horses were their favorite part of camp- they had come from places where they didn't have a chance to ride so this was special for them.  Outs...

Love's Source

Valentines Day What comes to your mind when you think of Valentines Day? For some people, theres excitement and joy. Maybe you have new love that is just blooming, and this is a day to celebrate and look forward to what is to come. Maybe you have a deep rooted love that is strong and sweeter now that you've been through the fires and love has been refined.  Maybe your heart sinks. You're looking for that love and it hasn't come yet. Or you've lost a love. This day is just a reminder of the love that you don't have.  There could be a hundred different scenarios that either make you look forward to, or dread today.  Wherever you are on the spectrum, whatever your feelings are of love right now, I encourage you to take time to come to the feet of LOVE. In the Bible there are four different words used for love. The first three are: Storge- empathetic love Philia - friendship love Eros- romantic love   These loves are beautiful, they are gifts from our Creator. ...

Information Clinic

This past week was the Information Clinic at Crystal Peaks and all I can say is wow! Around sixty people came from all over the country to learn about starting a ministry that shows the love of Christ to people in their area. It was so amazing to see their hearts, where God is leading them, to see them filled with excitement, full of hope for what God is doing, and for some, their faith flamed back to life.  One thing that I have really been praying about is being filled with the Spirit and really letting Him lead in every area of my life. That when I feel that nudge, I would act and not just push is away. This week I was able to put this into practice, and I was so blessed by it! During one of the classes I was on Foreman Assist (helping with chores) and we had finished all the chores for the moment and I was sitting at one of the tables outside. I was just sitting there and prayed "Lord, if there's someone you want me to talk to, show me!" I looked around and someone...
