Similar Ministry Conference

Wow! I know I haven't posted in a couple weeks, life has just been crazy! The other interns and I have been working on going through our phases to be able to do our own sessions! Right now we are in between co-leading sessions with a staff and the staff shadowing us. I have been learning so much about working with the kids and it has just been awesome! Last week I was sick with a cold and ended up staying home from work for two days, then I just rested during the weekend to try and get better in time for the similar ministry conference.
This past Tuesday I got off work at three and was able to go hang out with Katie and Margaret! It was so nice to spend some time with them! We went to Smith Rock and went and put our feet in the river and just talked for a while! It was awesome to connect with them and see how everything back home is going!
On Wednesday we got to the ranch early to scoop the paddocks before people started getting there. Then from 11:40-1 us interns were on parking! It was a lot of fun just being excited and welcoming people to Crystal Peaks! Then in the afternoon we got to hear Troy and Kim speak and had immersion worship. (For those of you who may not know, immersion worship is where they play music over the loud speakers that focuses on God and who He is, then people will go around the ranch and just spend time in worship to Him, not asking Him for anything, cutting out distractions, and just worshiping! It is an amazing time to focus on Him and get your heart in tune with His!)
The rest of the week was an amazing time of worship and learning the heart and how to's of ministry! The things that I really feel I grew in are just being in prayer and in tune with the Spirit all the time! Whether you are in the middle of a session with a kid, talking with someone from a grocery store, or at home with family and friends, be in prayer! Thank Him! Ask Him for wisdom or direction, worship Him! Kim says that when we walk into a room we should totally change the atmosphere, not because what we have done or who we are, but because of Who lives in us!
When we feel the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit we need to push aside our pride and follow Him! One of my favorite moments of the week was when I was watching someone from the ranch play with her horse who was fearful because of a traumatic past. When the horse wasn't focusing on his mom he was freaking out and worried and letting things going on distract him. But when he came to his mom, his head went down and he just rested in her presence, even when there were distractions around. What a beautiful picture! When I saw that I just saw this beautiful picture of us resting in the will and presence of our Heavenly Father. When we are rooted in Him and our focus is on Him, nothing can shake us! Again, it isn't because of us or anything we've done, but because of how great our God is! I think through everything I learned, and everything that was taught, that is the underlying theme, that we have a great and powerful God! He is in control and He has a plan! If He is leading you to something, it is His! You don't have to worry about how it will work out, or how it will work, or if it is worth it. If He is leading you to it, it is His ministry- He will work all the details out. We just have to follow Him. I am so excited to see everything God has in store!!

"Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!” 1 Chronicles 16:23-31

Summer 2019

"Even youths grow tired and weary,  and young men  stumble and fall;  but those who hope   in the   Lord  will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles;  they will run and not grow weary,  they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 30-31 This summer I worked at a summer camp called Circle C Ranch. For those of you who don't know about it, it is a summer camp for kids that revolves around sharing the gospel with kids. I was a... you guessed it... wrangler! That means that I worked long days working with the horses and making sure the tiny humans didn't die. Not going to lie, it was hard! We woke up early and went to bed late. The work was hard and fast paced. But it was so worth it! The kids absolutely loved the horses and there were a number of the kids who said that the horses were their favorite part of camp- they had come from places where they didn't have a chance to ride so this was special for them.  Outs...

Love's Source

Valentines Day What comes to your mind when you think of Valentines Day? For some people, theres excitement and joy. Maybe you have new love that is just blooming, and this is a day to celebrate and look forward to what is to come. Maybe you have a deep rooted love that is strong and sweeter now that you've been through the fires and love has been refined.  Maybe your heart sinks. You're looking for that love and it hasn't come yet. Or you've lost a love. This day is just a reminder of the love that you don't have.  There could be a hundred different scenarios that either make you look forward to, or dread today.  Wherever you are on the spectrum, whatever your feelings are of love right now, I encourage you to take time to come to the feet of LOVE. In the Bible there are four different words used for love. The first three are: Storge- empathetic love Philia - friendship love Eros- romantic love   These loves are beautiful, they are gifts from our Creator. ...

Information Clinic

This past week was the Information Clinic at Crystal Peaks and all I can say is wow! Around sixty people came from all over the country to learn about starting a ministry that shows the love of Christ to people in their area. It was so amazing to see their hearts, where God is leading them, to see them filled with excitement, full of hope for what God is doing, and for some, their faith flamed back to life.  One thing that I have really been praying about is being filled with the Spirit and really letting Him lead in every area of my life. That when I feel that nudge, I would act and not just push is away. This week I was able to put this into practice, and I was so blessed by it! During one of the classes I was on Foreman Assist (helping with chores) and we had finished all the chores for the moment and I was sitting at one of the tables outside. I was just sitting there and prayed "Lord, if there's someone you want me to talk to, show me!" I looked around and someone...
